Q. How do I get gigs?

Getting magic gigs is something that comes with time. As you get more experienced you will find that getting magic gigs gets easier. The best way to start is to do some magic work voluntarily. You could even start by doing street magic just to practice your routines.

You could then move onto pub magic and bar magic. Go to a local pub, have some tricks prepared and ask to speak to the manager. Explain to him that you are an aspiring magician and show him some tricks. Then offer to perform there for an evening free of charge. If they like what you do you will most likely be given a gig there and a chance to perform on a regular basis.
